I used to have an obsession with being a size 2 and under 120 pounds I wanted a thigh gap. I wanted to suck all the cellulite off my body. I thought that if I made my body into the shape I thought it should be then I would be happy and confident. I remember starting at myself in the mirror at 114 pounds and being miserable. "Caitlyn! How did you manage to lose weight without loose skin?" Easy! I didn't. . Loose skin used to be my biggest fear. Would I rather be fat or flabby? I chose neither. I'd rather be healthy. . This is NOT a before and after. These were taken MINUTES apart. Loose skin comes with the territory of major weight loss. It's natural, it's normal and honestly I've only begun to really notice it recently. heyyy insta fam👋🏼 been sick with a mean cold the past week so been a little MIA trying to recover🤧🤧😷 I think for me one of the WORST feelings is finally making progress in the gym and then being set back by sickness. _ Today I pushed myself to get back in there because if you’re like me, 5 days feels like a LIFETIME. 🧐 I frequently have new clients come in who are training on a regular basis.. for long periods of time... with no results. While there can be multiple reasons for this, one of the biggest and most overlooked is that they’re not working out EFFECTIVELY! 🤷🏻‍♀️ With every single exercise you should understand what SPECIFICALLY you are trying to accomplish and you should actually feel that particular muscle working!! 🤗 If you struggle with this, you are one of many! Try to regroup and be more thoughtful about your process. If you don’t have s as good understanding of what you’re doing, look for resources! A good training session requires no more than 60 minutes and you should be seeing results!! 👊🏼 If you need further guidance, ask me! 😇

If this imbalance between intense excess training and inadequate recovery time persists then performance will decline.
